The people of Richmond have the ability to help transform a former industrial property into a clean, safe and vibrant social and economic asset that will benefit the entire community.
There are a number of ways for the public to become more involved in this process. The public is encouraged to contact Jason Keadjian (keadjian@brooks-street.com). In addition, the local Richmond Southeast Shoreline Area Community Advisory Group (CAG) provides a unique opportunity for the public to interact directly with the DTSC. Comprised of local volunteers, the CAG serves as an advisory group to the DTSC and provides regular opportunities for community members and other stakeholders to learn about cleanup activities and other environmental work at Campus Bay.
As part of its continuing commitment to the community and to further assist public participation, CSV, under an agreement with the DTSC, is providing funding for technical and administrative support to the CAG. Totaling more than $250,000, CSV’s support represents the largest contribution to a CAG in the State of California by a private company. Using the support funds, the CAG has retained a professional environmental engineering firm and a facilitator to aid the CAG in its review of key documents required as part of the environmental investigation and cleanup of the Campus Bay site.
